Although most of the players worked fine, the two with the longest rods (which have a spring hinge) needed lubrication on the gears to move freely. The rods and gears underneath. Table Top Ice Hockey game had been in neighbours storage for 20+ years. But a clean, oil on the metal rods and springs and some margarine to lubricate the plastic gears underneath, brought back to perfection.

Card, Gaffer Tape, Sock, and scalpel. In Use with cable wrapped around body. Something simple to stop Sat Nav screen from getting scratched when not in use. Made from some gaffer tape, cardboard, and an old sock (clean). Cardboard was cut and shaped so it fit around the Sat Nav, with one side against the screen. Sat Nav was placed in the sock at the bottom and then both in the card and the sock end pulled back over the cardboard (figure 2) The sock was then trimmed and gaffer tape used to create a waterproof outer shell.

Goofy - no longer walking and woofing. Second hand doggy bits anyone? Walking, barking Goofy toy stopped working. Had to cut stitching to get into body, when unscrewed the plastic body the whole mechanism exploded into a mass of parts. I'd guess that the thin wires in the cable have stretched and broken but decided that the reward of fixing overwhelmed the cost and time to put the thing back together again.
